The Qwiet Muse 
I quite like it, actually – purely because it has a nice sound! It doesn’t annoy me as much as ‘flammable’ and ‘inflammable’ meaning the same thing! Why would INflammable mean flammable??

I admit to liking the sound of it as well 😜 My annoyance stems from the fact that the *irr* negates the *regardless*, changing the meaning from without regard to with! Words are funny, glorious things!

Nails on a chalkboard! But conversate and notate really send me over the edge…and yet, they’re being recognized in a kind of a backward formation. I know language is dynamic and ever evolving, but, geez…;-)

I tend to be a little bit of a pedant, some of the newly recognized and far too widely utilized words drive me a wee bit insane 😜

Regardless of our feelings, irregardless is in the dictionary. It’s never seen in print though, unless it’s to make a point, but it’s heard quite often.

It’s recognized now because it’s used by so many, rather like conversate, recognized by some, but still . . . not all dictionaries agree with either 🙂

I HATE this word. When I hear it spoken it is like fingernails on a chalkboard to my ears. LOL.
